Whether you’re seasoned or new to leadership, PAGs provide a place for members to come together in a safe, confidential setting for authentic self-reflection and deep discussions where complex, sensitive issues are met with acceptance and understanding. Subjects explored are what is front and center of the leaders’ minds.

Each quarter, in addition to our virtual meetups, we will gather to break bread, relax, and build personal connections.

Group meets virtually the first Tuesday of every month from 8:00 - 9:00 AM*. Once a quarter in place of the virtual meet up, members will meet in person for a more relaxed experience at a restaurant of their choice. Time and dates to be determined.

Calling all communication and marketing professionals as well as emerging leaders, if you are in a position that largely focuses on marketing or communications and are looking to grow your professional network, discuss common tools, and ponder life — this group may be the perfect fit! Members dive into examples of their marketing projects, storytelling, and real-life happenings that may be hindering or helping to achieve their goals. This collaborative community also shares dynamic knowledge, resources, and encouragement. All walk away with ideas, more insight, and deeper connections.

For up-and-coming professionals and those new to the leadership role, these groups are focused on developing effective leadership skills and are co-facilitated by leaders in our community. Participants have the opportunity to strengthen their network, share best practices, discuss leadership topics, be introduced to a variety of resources, ponder challenges and identify solutions. On occasion, hear from guest community speakers who visit these PAGs sharing their expertise and knowledge. In these groups, participants will find the "answers in the room" and get the support they need in their leadership journey.

More and more organizations are forming Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committees as they believe this is important for employee and organization success. We are not DEI experts; we are skilled facilitators who can bring a group of people together around this topic. With that in mind, this group is for the champions of these committees to come together and share:

This group is for Executive Directors of nonprofit organizations. Group members determine the topics that will enable them to be more strategic and focused. The Executive Director role can be a lonely one and when the members of this group come together, they share ideas, ask questions and discuss the application of best practices in the nonprofit sector.

This is a knowledge-sharing Peer Advisory Group where dedicated volunteer program leaders harness the expertise of others around the table as they exchange valuable knowledge and best practices, discover new perspectives and approaches, and ignite creativity and collective inspiration. Designed for the top leader of the organization who reports directly to a board. Often times this person feels alone and limited on what they can share with others. This doesn't have to be the case. By joining this group, you won't feel lonely at the top. In each meeting, members discuss current topics to allow for reflection, discovery, and application. Deep connections form among the members where they benefit from hearing different perspectives on similar challenges.

This is a group of Elementary, Middle and Junior High School Principals in various communities across Cook and Lake County. They gather five times a year to share ideas and resources to keep up with the myriad changes facing the world of education. Members give advice and support to one another because the job of a principal can be lonely at times. As hard as it is to be away from the building, this group experiences the value in taking time for themselves and connecting with colleagues in different districts to discuss current situations and strategize about the future in a safe space where solutions flow.

While Charmm’d will be closing its doors in December 2024, this does not mark the end of your journey. If you have a passion for facilitating and wish to continue meeting with your Peer Advisory Groups (PAG) in 2025 and beyond, we invite you to join our Affinity Group Masterclass!
This masterclass is made up of individuals who volunteer their time to lead PAGs, driven solely by a desire to serve, foster relationships and learn from and with others. Group members take turns facilitating, simulating the experience of leading their own groups. This approach allows for the exchange of techniques and valuable feedback among peers. Embrace the opportunity to continue your PAG journey and contribute to the growth of a supportive community.
